Super Badger Shaving Brushes

The most luxurious of all shaving brushes.

Please note that most manufacturers refer to Super Badger and Silvertip as one entity. This is simply not true, Super Badger is the ultra-premium badger hair and Silvertip is premium. What is the difference? For starters, the Super Badger has a sharp contrasting white head compared to the Silvertip badger. Super Badger is also a touch softer which gives Super Badger this designation. In reference to performance, that is a tough one since I can without bias say that both Super Badger and Silvertip produce an excellent shave. Bottom line, it is all about what you like, you will not go wrong with my product. Enjoy and thank you for looking!

Horn & Pink Ivory Silvertip Shaving brush

Redesigned: I added a more appealing and flowing profile to the handle and reinforced the inside of the handle where the horn meets the pink ivory. The result is a very durable and nicely balanced brush. Consult the pics to see the design evolution of this brush.

Here is a unique 2-tone shaving brush: genuin horn and pink ivory coupled with a nice 22mm silvertip knot brush size. The handle height is 3 inches. Please note that this brush can be nicely inlaid with your initials (Perhaps Lapis Lazuli or how about Turquoise?). You are getting a genuine horn/pink ivory brush for the same price as most manufacturers charge for plastic handles brushes.

40,000 year old Kauri brush

This is as rare as it gets!

You have a wonderful piece of Kauri handled shaving brush with a silvertip badger brush, if you want a bigger knot size or Super Badger, no problem, just ask! I know what you are thinking...yeah right! 40,000 year old wood. The reality is that it truly is that old. To start I use ancient Kauri wood from New Zealand. Here is a bit about the wood's history: Ancient Kauri is derived from a number of buried prehistoric forests that grew at the dawn of time, some more than 50,000 years ago. These forests are located in the Southern Hemisphere on the Northern Island of New Zealand, north of Latitude 36 South.

Buried under peat swamps by an unexplained act of nature before the last Ice Age, the trees were left lying just beneath the surface of the ground. This underground resting place, sealed from the air, became a perfectly balanced cocoon that preserved the timber. It is known to be the oldest workable timber in the world. Let's not forget that this specie of wood is also the most expensive to work with. There is a finite supply left, once it's gone it's GONE!

Extraction of the logs is time-consuming, expensive and technically difficult, requiring skilled operators of heavy machinery. Working in wet conditions, logs must be carefully brought to the surface. Once removed from the ground, each log is assessed, then milled to yield the best grain and timber qualities. The pic does not do the shaving brush justice, the grain pattern is amazing, it's unlike anything you have ever seen, it is a shimmering gem that changes color and grain pattern in the light.

brush stand

Here is a simple yet stylish shaving brush stand for all the shaving brushes I make. This metal Chrome Brush Stand is a great way to store your shaving brush because it allows the moisture to dry faster away from the brush. This inverted brush position is more hygienic and allows better drying as opposed to storing it right side up after use. Please note that the shaving brush is NOT included.
