I am pleased to announce the addition of some very unique writing instruments: OWL PENS. These works of art are handmade by a very accomplished Polish penmaker who entirely designs, fabricates the body, detail work, the nib, basically the entire writing instrument here in the US.

His artistic skills combined with a vast manufacturing knowledge results in a product that rivals the big name manufacturers. I cannot mention names, but he has actually created limited edition pieces for some of the biggest names in the writing instrument industry. His many years of experience and attention to detail makes him a true professional!

14k gold "Symphony" Fountain Pen

This is a new design called the "SYMPHONY" fountain pen that is really a piece of personal jewelry. This fountain pen is made from a very durable, crack-resistant German black polyurethane material (this is similar to the material used for example in screwdriver handles, it is durable beyond belief). All parts of the pen's body are turned from solid rods as they are not injection -molded. The clip and the beautiful musical overlay are handmade from solid 14 carat yellow gold. The length of the pen is 5 1/2 inches (13.5 cm), the pen weight is 23.7 pennyweights (36.9 grams), the 14k gold weight is: 10.8 pennyweights (16.8 grams).The fountain pen is enhanced with a 14 carat solid gold nib in medium width. It uses a standard international size ink cartridge or can be filled from an ink bottle with the supplied converter. It comes with a hard, black OWL presentation box and the booklet which contains all important information and instructions for maintenance of the pen. You have a choice of nib size, 14-18k material and even your family crest or initials can be affixed onto the nib making this item truly one of a kind!

The pens’ bodies are made of durable, crack -resistant materials such as: German PVC, resin acrylic and ebonite. These lasting materials are used in some industries to manufacture bearings, bushings, hammers, gear wheels and much more.

All parts of the pens’ bodies are turned from solid rods. They are not injection - molded plastics.

 

Decorations of our pens are clips, trims and filigrees made of sterling silver or solid 10K, 14K and

18K gold in different colors.

The composition with the plastic parts creates

beauty and elegance for a lifetime.

Owl does not make gold plating parts because gold plating wears over time.

 

For manufactured nibs, we use a special kind of 14K or 18K gold, which gives the nibs an excellent flexibility. Onto the tip of the nibs

a very hard pellet is perfectly welded.

The pellet, the interface between a fountain pen and paper, is made of platinum metal alloys with a high percentage of osmium.

These noble metals give the alloys a supreme hardness and ductility, resulting in a practically unlimited wear resistance.

 

Owl Pen manufactures nibs in the following styles:   Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub

and   Oblique. Other styles of nibs can be special ordered.

 

All Owl Pen writing instruments are warrantied against defects in material and workmanship, under normal use, throughout the life of the original owner.

If found to be defective, your Owl Pen writing instrument will be repaired or replaced without charge. We will only replace a pen when there is not possibility of it being repaired to its original standard.
